Description
Access to Care (ATC) at Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) is seeking to fill Clinical Lead roles for 13 surgical areas and diagnostic imaging for a two- to three-year term.
ATC’s clinical leads serve as key advisors to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and ATC on the development and execution of ATC’s strategic direction and goals. As well, they guide the collection of meaningful data, review data and provide clinical context and identify opportunities to reduce wait time. They also actively participate in the ATC Surgery & Diagnostic Imaging Advisory Council.
Successful candidates should be practicing physicians holding a valid certificate of registration, and be in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario or College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. They should hold a valid certificate of registration as a practicing clinician in the area represented; be recognized as a leader within the clinical community and possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in healthcare leadership positions with increasing responsibility in complex and dynamic organizations. A thorough understanding of the Ontario Wait Time Strategy and the challenges faced during planning and implementation of large scale IM/IT technology initiatives in the healthcare sector is also required.
