1. Breathing Better Conference
The Ontario Lung Association’s “Breathing Better Conference” will take place from January 26 to 28, 2012, in Toronto, Canada. With the overarching theme of lung health regeneration, the three-day program will feature some of Canada’s leading experts on stem cell research, lung transplantation, using technology in clinical practice, advances in respiratory medications and work-related asthma. The meeting is presented by the Ontario Lung Association, Ontario Respiratory Care Society and Ontario Thoracic Society.

2. Toronto Zumba Party in Memory of Nurse Sonia Varaschin
Monies raised from this event are going to be directed towards Registered Nurses Foundation of Ontario, in memory of nurse Sonia Varaschin who tragically lost her life August 2010. Sonia was a great and caring nurse who also had passion for life as well as dancing. We want to remember her forever by establishing a nursing scholarship in her name.
The event will take place February 4th 2012, at 16:00, st St Michael College School which is located at Bathurst and St Clair Toronto. The response and support for this event has been overwhelming and we are expecting a lot of participants who will enjoy Zumba, dance show by several Toronto competitive Ballroom/Latin dance couples, silent auctions, door prizes and more.

3. Telederm CME from Ontario Telemedicine Network
On Thursday, February 2, from 5 – 6 pm, OTN is hosting a live and webcast educational event with dermatologists Dr. Anatoli Freiman and Dr. Benjamin Barankin. 4.Annual Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO) Conference
The conference is taking place from Sunday April 29th to Tuesday May 1st at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel and convention centre in Richmond Hill. This annual conference attracts over 500 delegates from the hospice palliative care community, including practitioners such as physicians, nurses, social workers, case managers, educators, spiritual and bereavement care advisors and other health and community care professionals with an interest in the hospice palliative care field.
The conference program includes dynamic keynote presentations from leaders who are creating change in the hospice palliative care community, a selection of 60 workshops on topics related to Scientific or Advanced Clinical Practice; Leadership, Systems or Integration; Volunteer Management; Psychosocial, Spiritual, Bereavement and Complementary Therapy. Scientific research and descriptive oral papers and posters also complement the program, as well as many sponsors and exhibitors showcasing their products and services.
